Funky Friday ~ Ten Billion Beats

This is a bit different than my normal Funky Friday posts
...and I almost forgot to post something.
The Seeker shared "Ten Billion Beats"
with me and I think it is worthy of mentioning here.

The link for web site of "Ten Billion Beats" is below:

The experiment will take place on
Friday Sept. 18, 2009, 7:00 PM
and will originate on a hilltop in Kansas
and will spread westward around the world.

Now that is the day the G-man & I are leaving town.
Where could I find a group gathering in New Mexico?
I think I'll take my maracas, a couple of sticks
& plastic bucket with me
and if I can't find a group I'll start one.
Now that will be a Funky Friday!

The drumming will occur on Friday Sept. 18, 2009 at 7:00PM in every time zone moving from east to west. (Please note -- the date will change to Saturday Sept 19, as we cross the International Date Line.) Groups will gather in homes, in town squares, city parks, and country fields. We will start the beat on a hilltop in Kansas and catch it again the following day. Each group will drum for at least one (1) hour so that the next time zone will pick up the beat and our "joyful noise" will roll with the hour around the world. The right size group is you and everyone you can think to invite. This is a grassroots event—you and I are the grass.
