Marble Falls & Horseshoe Bay

The lake in the distance at Horseshoe Bay
This is a great time to travel around Texas
because in Central Texas the wildflowers
are just beginning to bloom.
Bluebonnets beginning to bloom
Today the temperature was hovering in the low 80s
but a front moved through and tomorrow morning
and Sunday morning will be quite chilly.

A patch of Bluebonnets that will soon bloom.
This is the first day in about a week that we have
had sunshine all afternoon.
This morning started out quite cloudy & drizzly
so when the norther came through it brought
sunny skies and drier air... nice.

Wild Verbena
Wild Verbena is a plant that comes up in various places
and I would like to get some started in our yard.
It is a pretty, wispy plant that is drought tolerant & deer resistant.

Desert Sage
This fall I planted 3 Desert Sage and all the leaves fell off
leaving me to wonder if they died,
but this morning when I was watering I saw new leaves peeking out.

Another pretty view
This house overlooks a beautiful scene with the lake below it.
Below is a photo of the house and it is quite something!

The people who own this house have a fabulous view of lake & golf course.

View from one of the tee boxes on the course where the G-man will play.

Gertie & the Verbena
Gertie is still hanging in there with me on my jaunts
even though she is getting old... 14 years.
I can hardly believe it; time passes too quickly
and yet it feels like she's been with me forever.

Lovely silhouette
The shot above may be my favorite of the day.
I like the stark image.

Barrel Cactus & wildflowers
A couple of Barrel Cacti were nicely situated for a photo
and are sitting amongst flowers & other cacti.

View of Lake Marble Falls from River City Grille in Marble Falls
After the G-man did a little putting and registered for
his tournament on Saturday & Sunday
we drove back into Marble Falls for dinner.
This was a nice restaurant with a great view of the lake.

We also drove around the old downtown area of Marble Falls
and I definitely plan to go back tomorrow to explore
the cute shops and restaurants.

Sunset overlooking the lake from our balcony...
We had a beautiful sunset looking from our balcony
at the hotel... a nice day comes to an end.
