Last week I re-stained the patio fence
and did my neck & shoulder ever feel it.
Six hours one day & 2 1/2 another to complete the job.
Lower left are two petrified logs from
a creek bed near our house.
Mowing & edging makes it nice.
Where to plant the new Vitex plant?
My office/workspace is behind
the double windows.
Nice view, eh?
The G-man's tomato & pepper crop
and some mint & herbs.
Just recently had all the wild Yaupon
removed from the edge of the yard
down to the dry creek bed.
Much nicer now!
Front flower bed with various plants.
Rosemary, sage, lantana, peppers, etc.
Enormous pine in front yard.
The little magnolia has been blooming her heart out
and has filled the air with wonderful smells.
Huge fig tree... hurry figs & grow big.
One lone peach tree has survived,
but the squirrels are determined to eat all the peaches.
However, the G-man is as determined to save the peaches.
He has caught & relocated 9 or 10 squirrels this week.
Maybe they are all gone & we can enjoy a few peaches
in a week or two.
That was my Memorial Day weekend!

that view is awesome... that would surely make, if your in the office - do something great; in the patio for a coffee, more refreshing added to the aroma..
i miss home... i miss my mom's farm and sister's small and simple beach resort back home...

Gee, I've forgotten about the figs. We had them in the yard when I was in high school (about 10 years ago, of course) but we never got much of a crop out of them.
Looks wonderful at your home. Hope you can have a few GENTLE rains to keep it all growing, and keep the fires from starting!
