A Day of Remembrance

Peace to All Nations flag

Today is a day of remembrance in the United States and in other parts of the world to recognize and appreciate those who have fought and continue to fight for freedom for ourselves and for others. I wish I could say that every battle, encounter, skirmish has been a just one, but that is just not the case. No matter what occurs on battlefields, jungles, plains or deserts, whether justified or not, does not diminish the debt we owe men and women who fight for us to maintain our freedom.

In a perfect world we would all be at peace. We can strive for peace and understanding and yet be at the ready to defend our freedom.

Thank you all who defend our country. May wisdom guide those who send our men and women into harms way.

At "The Gold Puppy", Reya delivers a stirring thank you to those who serve in the armed forces. Visit her post "What is remembered, lives" and expect to be uplifted.

Peace be with you all.

I quite agree, Miss Frizzy. We have so much to be thankful for, especially to our brave men and women of the armed forces who put their lives on the line every day so that we don't have to. I applaud and praise them.

Inspirational post. We took some time to honor those who have died today in the armed forces--certainly time well spent.
