Now that is the day the G-man & I are leaving town.
Where could I find a group gathering in New Mexico?
I think I'll take my maracas, a couple of sticks
& plastic bucket with me
and if I can't find a group I'll start one.

The drumming will occur on Friday Sept. 18, 2009 at 7:00PM in every time zone moving from east to west. (Please note -- the date will change to Saturday Sept 19, as we cross the International Date Line.) Groups will gather in homes, in town squares, city parks, and country fields. We will start the beat on a hilltop in Kansas and catch it again the following day. Each group will drum for at least one (1) hour so that the next time zone will pick up the beat and our "joyful noise" will roll with the hour around the world. The right size group is you and everyone you can think to invite. This is a grassroots event—you and I are the grass.

I think I will not be able to start a group, people here aren't much into this, so I will drum on my backyard alone, even if just for a little time.
Hmmm.... If you'll be travelling I think it's going to be hard for you.... so remember that just the intention counts a lot.
I hope many people will join this.

Pretty cool! I think we need more of this in the world. I will do my best to do a little beating of the drum myself and if anyone wished to join they can.
