Not really so funky as just interesting old truck found in the northwest Texas town of Electra. Electra is named for the daughter of the owner of the famous Waggoner rancher.
What a great truck! Been catching up on past posts here.. love the painted branches earlier, and Gertie sitting in the window, keeping an eye on you! Have a great weekend! :)
hi lizzy - whenever i'm out on my bike and see a funky old set of wheels that's half decent like this truck i give the driver a thumbs up. first, 'cause he's swimming upstream against the "gotta drive something new and hot" school and it's likely costing him (and her) a fortune to pay for the parts (if you can find 'em!) nice share!!!! steven
Aren't they funky! Here in our neighbouring town of Alexandra we have an annual event, 'The Truck, Ute & Rod Show' and every year it is even more spectacular than the last. Spiffy looking Ford F100 utes in all colours, huge trucks with polished crome, art detail, plush leather cabins with every imaginable accessory and the hot-rods. The weekend event brings droves of people to the country town.

Hi Lizzy
I love these old trucks. I had a dream once that Beloved and I, in another life, were driving along in a red one of these old American trucks...
Happy days

And its incongruous too! My dad once had a Ford sedan that colour.
Love the truck.
And now you've got me thinking "Mourning becomes ...".
What a cool blue truck. New cars and trucks have no soul.
They don't make them like that anymore. Love the colour too.
I saw a meme that looked like fun so I have decided to try it and send it out to a few bloggers.
So, here is the ritual:
1) Open up you first photo album
2) Scroll down to the 10th picture.
3) Post that picture and write the story that goes with the picture.

I would love to drive that old truck through some dusty off the map town, chewing some chaw and listening to coyotes.
