Windows

An interesting thing that we saw while in France were windows painted on sides of buildings showing activity going on inside. I guess that beats looking at a blank wall. Gerald is standing beneath one of these "windows".

I'm a bit fascinated with windows, doorways, alleyways, stairs, and streets. There is usually something of interest that I find if I just take the time to look. I probably took 300 photos of these things when we were in France.

The year before we went to several countries in Eastern Europe and I did the same thing there.

I may do a few more window posts this week.

Never seen that either. Thank you Cheryl! Good idea! Yes, I like windows, too. Especially when I get a chance to peep into them. But my visitor from Argentina also noticed all the windows while walking around in Hamburg: "Look, they all have these lovely different curtains!" Travelling broadens your outlook on life is what I keep saying.

I also haven't seen such a thing before, & I agree they're fascinating-- good pix of them, too. Will look forward to more on this topic.

Funny how we concentrate on one thing or another. We went to France last fall, and I blogged about the various toilet mechanisms that I found in the hotels and restaurants. Unfortunately, we had a tough time finding a replacement camera, so our pictures were taken through our point and click phone.
